They say begin how you intend to continue - so let us tell you how we’re on a mission for 2024.😎 January flew by in a blur of excitement, creativity and of course, games! Here at Anything World, we kicked off 2024 with a bang plunging deep into the essence of the Global Game Jam, and it was an experience to remember! And, the games, well they’re out of this world!
This year we teamed up with Game Dev London and Goldsmiths University to bring you a next-level jamming experience. Anything World sponsored their site and saw a whopping 417 game devs in one room creating over 80 games in just 48 hours!
The team and the vibe
We rolled in with 6(!!) teams of Anything World enthusiasts, with 4 teams joining the jam remotely and 2 teams soaking in the jam vibes on-site. Despite the physical distance, the online collaboration was nothing short of magic. All weekend, the teams were buzzing on Discord, exchanging ideas, learning new game dev skills from one another and bringing awesome games to life (using Anything World ofc 😉).
On-site the energy was electrifying ⚡️, from the anticipation of the theme reveal(Make me laugh) during the introduction speech on Friday to the nail-biting countdown as the entries closed on Sunday and jammers clicked submit.

Pizza Power-Up
Saturday night delivered a different kind of excitement! 74 piping hot pizzas were delivered in a steamed-up Mario kart. A much-needed fuel injection for our jammers, ensuring they had the energy to power through the night and make their game ideas a reality. We must say, it wasn’t just games built over the weekend - The Leaning Tower Pisa (Pizza) was recreated.
Anything World Showcase
We were super happy to see so many fantastic teams using Anything World during GGJ. Our mammoth library of 3D models went down an absolute treat and Animate Anything speed up production like never seen before! As a shoutout to some of our amazing jammers we’ve put together some of the awesome games that were made.
